Ishan Kishan delivered a stunning Player of the Match performance as India chased down West Indies’ 194-6 with 199-1 in 18.1 overs. His unbeaten 118 from 60 balls, featuring eight fours and eight sixes, put India firmly in control and turned the pursuit into a one-sided finish.
West Indies made a strong start through Evin Lewis, who struck 75 from 42 balls with six fours and five sixes. Their total of 194-6 gave India a demanding target, but the hosts’ bowlers had already done enough to keep the innings within reach.
Axar Patel and Jasprit Bumrah led India’s bowling effort with two wickets apiece. Patel conceded 32 runs in four overs, while Bumrah finished with two wickets for 39. Alzarri Joseph was West Indies’ most successful bowler, taking one wicket for 33 runs in 3.1 overs.
India’s chase was underpinned by aggressive strokeplay throughout. Sanju Samson added 65 from 42 balls, including six fours and two sixes, to complement Kishan’s spectacular assault. The result gave India a dominant nine-wicket victory, completed with 11 balls remaining.
